Improving API Client SLA for Enhanced Flexibility and Customer Experience

An update to the API client SLA will provide customers with more flexibility and time to prepare for major version upgrades. The new SLA will cover both the current and the previous major version for two years following the release of a new version. This change addresses the current limitation where only the latest version was covered, which left many customers without SLA support when major versions with breaking changes were introduced. The updated SLA ensures customers have a predictable two-year window to upgrade, reducing the pressure for immediate updates and enabling better planning. This change is expected to improve customer satisfaction by offering clearer coverage and reducing support inquiries.

No-Code Banners Now in General Availability

No-Code Banners feature is now in GA, allowing customers to easily create and manage banners via our Visual Editor without needing to write any code. Previously, banners required coding via a JSON format in the Manual Rule Editor. This feature simplifies the process, enabling users to display banners at the top of search and category results pages for customers using InstantSearch. The banner must be a picture hosted outside of Algolia. This enhancement empowers users to create more visual experiences for customers, improving user experience and increasing conversion opportunities. Click here to learn more.

  • Hourly Refresh: DRR scores are now refreshed hourly, ensuring results reflect the latest user behavior and events (previously updated daily).
  • Multi-Facet Support: DRR now supports re-ranking for more than one browsing facet, allowing for more precise control over filtered searches (e.g., category and brand).

Suggested Affinities for Improved AI Personalization

Algolia's AI Personalization now offers suggested affinities to guide customers in selecting relevant attributes for their personalization configurations. By analyzing existing attributes and applying strict criteria, Algolia provides recommendations that can help improve the quality of user profiles and enhance personalization outcomes. Suggested affinities can streamline the configuration process and reduce the likelihood of misconfigurations. Customers can still choose their own affinities and conduct A/B testing to further refine their personalization strategies. Click here to learn more.
