Find and Navigate Products Faster in the Visual Editor

Merchandisers can now search for any product displayed in the Visual Editor using the new Find in results bar, even if the item is initially not visible or in the loaded results. This improvement removes the previous limitation of browser-based search (Command+F), enabling users to locate and act on any result, regardless of its initial position. The searched product is highlighted in its current position (e.g., position 465), allowing users to scroll directly to it for quickly merchandising those products as needed.  A new shortcut (Command+B on Mac, Ctrl+B on Windows) quickly triggers this functionality, improving speed and usability for large merchandising sets. This feature is now available to all customers with access to the Visual Editor.

Schedule Rules More Flexibly With Optional Start and End Dates

Merchandisers can now schedule rules to start or end independently, without being forced to define both a start and end date. This added flexibility helps manage evergreen campaigns, future-dated promotions, and simplifies rule management directly in the Visual and Manual Editors.

Curate Results with AI-Powered Smart Groups

Smart Groups empowers business users to strategically place specific groups of results—based on attributes like brand, color, inventory level, rating, publication date, and more—at precise positions on search and category pages, e.g. to monetize top result spots, capture attention for promoted items, or create engaging experiences. The grouped items will be continuously ranked using Algolia’s AI Ranking. If an item goes out of stock or no longer meets your criteria, Smart Groups automatically fills the spot with the next qualifying result. Click here to learn more.

Collections Now Support Dynamic Re-Ranking Out of the Box

Collections pages now automatically benefit from Dynamic Re-Ranking (DRR) with no setup required. The Collections attribute is applied by default as an extra browsing facet, allowing DRR to re-rank results on Collections just like category pages. Customers can disable DRR at any time via the enableReRanking query parameter. Click here to learn more.

Seamlessly Integrate Algolia with AI Agents Using MCP Server

The Algolia MCP Server is now available, offering a streamlined way to connect Algolia indices with agentic workflows and local AI clients through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). This release enables retrieval, addition, and configuration of index data via a standardized protocol, supporting enhanced interoperability across tools. By leveraging MCP, it becomes easier to embed Algolia into diverse AI-driven environments, improving development flexibility and allowing end users to interact with data more efficiently within their chosen applications.

Collections for Efficient Merchandising Management

Collections enable business users to easily create and manage tailored assortments of items for campaigns, seasonal trends, or promotions directly from the Dashboard/Merch Studio. This feature offers flexibility, allowing users to either manually curate collections for detailed control or automate the process to streamline merchandising strategies. By providing both options, users can efficiently manage assortments without modifying the original catalog, reducing manual errors and improving agility in promotions. This release enhances merchandising capabilities, empowering businesses to quickly adapt to trends and optimize their offerings. Click here to learn more.

DRR Revenue for Profitability Optimization

DRR Revenue reorders search results based on actual revenue contribution rather than clicks or conversions. This AI-driven ranking strategy allows businesses to surface high-value products and optimize for profitability without manual tuning. When activated, DRR Revenue works alongside Advanced DRR - enabling frequent updates and improved ranking precision for head queries. However, it is currently not designed to work in combination with Multi-Signal Ranking, as it only supports conversion-based optimization at this stage. Ideal for businesses with wide-ranging product prices, DRR Revenue helps shift focus from popularity to profitability, enabling more strategic, data-driven decisions that balance immediate performance with long-term growth. Automatically Infer QueryIDs for Conversion Events

To improve event tracking accuracy, we now infer and attach missing queryIDs to conversion events when an objectID is present. QueryIDs are required as a parameter for conversion events, so this enhancement helps to ensure these events are utilized by our AI models. To ensure the most accurate results, we still recommend sending queryIDs with conversion events whenever possible. This update serves as an additional safeguard, enhancing data quality when queryIDs are unavailable, but it should not replace proper event instrumentation. To learn more click here.
